Stephen “Mark” Hayes, 53, Mecklenburg EMS Agency, died in the line of duty due to a medical event. His unwavering commitment to saving lives and providing critical care to those in need was an inspiration to his colleagues and a source of comfort to countless patients. Mark was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and man of God devoted to his family and with a passion to care for others. He was known for his love of cooking and was asked to make his famous pound cake for special events. In his free time, Mark ensured he had the best Bermuda grass on the block. Mark was deeply loved by all and will always be remembered by his family and friends.
