Peter Bushey, 52, FDNY EMS, died in the line of duty due to World Trade Center Illness. Carrying out his passion of being a paramedic, he joined NYC EMS in May 1996. Peter especially loved working with the members of Station 40 in Coney Island. He bravely served the department for 25 years, was a first responder at the World Trade Center, and spent months working at Ground Zero during the rescue and recovery efforts. Described as always joking and smiling, Peter was a loving husband and brother.
