Terryson Jackson, 50, Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) Department of Fire Rescue, died in the line of duty due to an air medical accident. Born in The Commonwealth of Dominica, he relocated to Florida in 1989 where he realized his dream of becoming a paramedic firefighter. His passion flourished when he started his career in Deerfield in 2004 where he earned the rank of Lieutenant. Terryson began working in Air Rescue with BSO in 2012 where he achieved the rank of Captain and was posthumously promoted to Battalion Chief. His love of sports led him to compete in the Sheriff’s Cup Golf Tournament and firefighter game competitions playing soccer and basketball. A son, brother, and father, Terryson was an integral part of the team and possessed an unwavering commitment to the community.
