Pafford EMS
Robert “Robbie” Pearson, 58, Pafford EMS, died in the line of duty due to COVID. With a servant’s heart, Robbie dedicated his life to helping others. After volunteering as a firefighter for a year, he became an EMT then earned his paramedic certification, graduating from Alabama Fire College. Prior to working full-time in EMS, he taught auto mechanics at East Central Community College for 15 years. In his off-duty time he was known to fix friend’s cars and never take any money, earning the nick name “A-1 Shade Tree Mechanic”. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and a little golf. Robbie was a brother and father who passed the “EMS bug” to his son who has been in EMS for 15 years.
