Jay Miles, 69, Upper Perkiomen Valley Ambulance, died in the line of duty due to a medical event. With loyalty and dedication to serve others, he volunteered as a firefighter and as a chaplain with Pennsburg Fire Company for 30 years. Jay worked part time as an EMT at Upper Perkiomen Valley Ambulance for 17 years and assisted the Montgomery County Critical Incident Stress Management Team. He retired from Merck as an EMT after 23 years of service. Jay was a beloved husband and father who also loved his community. Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him.
