Andres Botello, 66, Victorious Care Ambulance, died in the line of duty due to an ambulance accident. Dedicating his life to helping others, he retired as Captain/EMT from Zapata County FD in August of 2019 after 34 years of service. After retirement, he followed his heart and continued to serve in EMS. Known for his outstanding work ethic that never went unnoticed, he also dedicated his carpentry skills to improving ZCFD. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Andres loved spending time with his family.
